Looking for a simple resource to help you make food and eating choices based as much on your green ideology as on your appetite?  Have the recent public comments by executives of high end grocery stores left a sour taste in your mouth?  Did you enter “The Meatrix”?!

Well then, do yourself a favor and check out Sustainable TableThis fantastic web resource contains a vast knowledge base of information on everything from organic agriculture to factory farms (and how to avoid their products.)  There is even a search engine to locate sustainable, locally grown, fresh and organic eats right around you.  Simply type in your address!

Move it or Lose it

November 19th, 2008

What with all the eating and drinking and watching shows, there’s bound to be the need for a little exercise. It doesn’t have to be torture; it can even be fun and collaborative. Once again, our “trainer concierges” are at the ready with a great recommendation to get the burn on. They can get you a bike or a kayak, and point you in the right direction. When you return, they’ll be there to hold the door, grab you some water, and listen to the tales of your adventure.

Go Green

November 17th, 2008

The thing is, it’s good to be green. Good for you, good for your neighbor, good for the planet and good for the economy. Toward that end, the “ever-green concierges” are going to offer tips to help you be greener, something you can do, something good to read, something to attend, something to join. After all, you’re already living in a real-live green building heading straight toward LEED Gold certification! The rest is easy.

Tip of the Week

Check Lights.

Identify frequently used light fixtures that use incandescent bulbs; order compact fluorescent replacement bulbs. See, that wasn’t so hard was it?
